Value Analysis (VA) helps improve both clinical quality and safety and the cost effectiveness of medical products and services.  While it is primarily performed to assess new product introductions and support vendor and product consolidation and standardization, it can also be used by clinical operations leaders to track performance on procedural cost-per-case and the reduction of practice variations to help eliminate waste and improve care quality.  This session will demonstrate how digital analytics tools can rapidly identify a range of practice variation and the associated opportunities for improvement.  The session will also explore a use case for how artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into such tools to enhance VA-related capabilities.
